Hi everyone, so those of you following posts about the Tbilisi Zoo -- the good news is that 1/2 of the animals have survived! I won't talk about the bad news because the internet is full of those. So, now, ironically, I am quite against the idea of zoos in general. I prefer too see animals in the wild where they belong. However, under the circumstances, the animals that were affected by the flooding of the Tbilisi Zoo need a place to live and it won't be in the wild, so I want to be able to help in some way (not being able to go there and help with the cleaning directly.) I still have a few of my limited-edition elephant prints left and for those who are interested in purchasing them, I am going to donate a portion of the proceeds to the zoo. Have you seen my postcard somewhere? If so, I'd love to know where and to see it!!! Take a photo and share it here.
I'm very excited to have received a whole box full of my postcards. Thank you very much, AvantCard!!! If you live in or are traveling through Australia, I'd be happy to know where you picked up one of my postcards. Drop me an e-mail to let me know. Cheers. :)
An AvantCard collector shared this photo with me today as she picked up one of my postcards in Canberra. If you live in Australia, you can pick up free postcards at various AvantCard stands in your towns. Limited edition prints are also available on my website: http://ninography.bigcartel.com.
I will be involved in a very unique Alice in Wonderland inspired international group exhibition, organised by the Espionage Gallery and Splash Adelaide. The show will be held at Rymill Park in Adelaide CBD. Hope to see you down the rabbit hole!
I am very honoured to be invited by the SCBWI to give an artist talk next month. I will be talking about my soon-to-be-published Picture Book, so if you want to hear the "inside story," stop by Mostly Books on 1 November at 1pm. There will be prizes as well. ;)
Honoured to have my work featured in the Smith Journal newsletter and blog: http://smithjournal.com.au/blogs/photography/georgian-bunkers
Back in the studio. Finishing up a picture book commission (computer screen) and continuing work on a personal picture book (table).
