Hi, I'm Nino. I'm originally from Georgia (the country, not the State).
I experiment constantly and love telling stories with my work. I dream in black and white with hints of colour, travel a lot and speak 6+ languages - all of which are a source of inspiration in my art. You can find my work in international exhibitions and in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, Washington, DC and Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts, Kiyosato, Japan.
Happy visiting and if you'd like to work together, please contact me. I love collaborations!

Excerpt from “Hand to Frame / Surface to Lens” Exhibit Essay by Jason Hughes
Maryland State Arts Council | James Backas Gallery
“Like many of her symbols, [Nino’s] creative process is highly intuitive… a curious visual language of signs emerges that draws on artifacts of the subconscious mingled with the signs and marks of memory… Juxtaposition is important here. At times this results in strange proportions that may be related to the persistence of a particular object in the artist’s associations with time and place… Selective and often minimal use of color may be based in events and objects of particular emotional significance and linked to what [Nino] cites as her tendency to dream in black and white, with color showing up only here and there.”
The Dragon Project
To help children in Japan who were affected by the earthquake, the tsunami and the radioactive pollution in Fukushima, I co-created the Dragon Project - an international, collaborative art and music project. To find out more, visit the Dragon Project's website at: http://thedragonproject.weebly.com.
